The person had the possession of the watch in question and said that he bought it from Gogi.
Geo only aired the news that the owner of the watch claims this.

TV channel is not an investigative agency or trial court. They air whatever appear to be prima facie a genuine claim.
In this case the person was in the possession of the watch in question. He said he bought it from Gogi. whats the big deal in airing this news.
