The facts are very simple; All Pakistanis know that their politicians are corrupt. So why do they elect them? Why all the criminals are fighting for the territorial gains in the Baldiati elections? Because they know this is the new way to keep control in their local areas.
This look more like "Mafia's" work than democracy. Now they are going to get their share of the loot from the bigger thieves selected as MPA and MNA.

The biggest of them all are the heads of the three big parties, namely the Gaaaaaaaaaaanj brothers, Zardari and Tafu.

Now the Simple maths: Pakistani imports 45 bn - Pakistani exports 25 bn = Foreign trade gap of 20 bn -
Remittances from Pakistanis 18= 2bn dollars deficit in the current account, which is filled by begging to the donors and IMF. You can change the figures of the billions in above example but the equation is roughly the same.

How much curse Pakistanis are facing due to the loans from the IMF/World Bank. Whole Pakistan's economy is upside down due to it. New taxes, extraordinary energy prices, which are among the most expensive on the plant earth.
If there is lets say even 2 bn reduction in the remittances, what would happen? Have you ever imagine the effects on the poor of Pakistan?

In a country where Rs 40 billions budget deficit would be covered from the poor, the corrupt "cook" of Gaaaaaaaaanj brothers appointed as "president" of Pakistan for his culinary services he provided to the corrupt thugs, is spending billions to entertain himself and his extended family.

I am not even going in to the details how much is spend on the travel, health and security of the extended gaaaaaaaaaaaaanj family.

the thread starter said stop sending money to pakistan so tell me one thing . who sends money to personal account of government of pakistan? have you ever done that? every single overseas pakistani send money to their families and beloveds who are living here and their bread and butter depends on their earnings. so should those overseas pakistanis stop sending money to their families genius...???? just because of hatred against some politicians ? so tell me how these families will survive after this idiotic campaign? do you have any sense what thread starter is trying to say. People like you start bashing governments and like your genius leader on container did for civil disobedience.( who ended this campaign just because of hot water problem) lol
take an oath on this forum and all those people who are working abroad that they will not send money to their families just because of their hatred against current government. i will love to see how many people will follow this campaign..

I second Bawa sahib's point of view, overseas Pakistanis are not sending monies to the government or any institution but are sending to their families for bread and butter. I think the thread starter has written this out of frustration due to recent local bodies election results.

by asking to stop foreign remittances into Pakistan you are actually advocating the crippling of a financial economy of a country of 18 KAROR habitants and growing.....

Instead of lecturing if you have read his message carefully, you should have realised he also wrote sending the money for donation etc.
The fact of the matter is a huge amount is also collected as charity by organisations and individuals.
I give my example, I always send my Zakkah and Charity to Pakistan, directly to deserving people. They are not my family, but deserving none-the-less.

Even to the family, if just for one year, we reduce the remittance to the minimum. only for necessity of life, no remittance for building house, buying land etc. A reduction of 2/3 billion dollars would bring Pakistan to its knees.
If in doubt, then please tell me why the crook Dar is obtaining such massively expensive loans? Why is he enslaving future Pakistani generations.
