considering 19 development projects has approved 15 schemes

costing Rs. 5345.947 million covering roads, research and

development, mines and mineral, information, industries,

environment, law and justice and home sectors.

The PDWP meeting was held on Thursday under the chairmanship

of Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Khalid Pervez

and attended by the administrative secretaries of the

department and officers of the sponsoring agencies.




Sectoral features of the projects approved by PDWP on 9 January,

2014 are as under: In roads sector, the PDWP approved 6 schemes

costing Rs. 1787.293 million, in research and development sector 2

schemes costing Rs. 1200.143 million, industries sector one scheme

costing Rs. 1186.431 million, mines and mineral sector, one scheme

costing Rs. 509.823 million, information sector one scheme

costing Rs. 250.000 million, transport sector one scheme costing

Rs. 282.530 million, environment sector one scheme costing Rs.

2.000 million, law and justice sector, one scheme costing Rs.

117.727 million and home sector one scheme costing Rs. 10.000

million. Thus the total cost of 15 approved schemes was Rs.

5345.947 million.

This is where fundamental and structure of Government matters. It's a slap on those who were criticizing PTI for not holding elections in 90 days. PTI took it's time but resolved all administrative issue before holding elections. Local elections are highly possible in February 2014 with a new system where all political parties are on one page.This is the change which PTI promised. PML-N and PPP think that they are playing with the system. What don' they don't realize that they are digging their own grave once KPK manage to conduct the elections and transfer the power to local people.

The Fort has been the headquarters of the Frontier Corps since 1949.

Bala Hissar (Pashto/Urdu/Persian: ???? ???? ?????) is one of the most historic places of Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The word Bala Hissar is from Dari Persian, meaning, “elevated or high fort”. The name was given by the Pashtun King Timur Shah Durrani (1773–1793), who used the fort as the winter capital of the Afghan Durrani Empire, with the summer capital being in Kabul. The Sikh empire who conquered Peshawar in the early 19th century named it Samir Garh in 1834 but the name did not become popular.

KPK Assembly passes resolution to open Bala Hisar Fort for General Public

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) assembly has passed a resolution to open up the historic Bala Hisar Fort of Peshawar for general public. Imran Khan, the chairman of Tehreek-e-Insaf, had asked Chief Minister KPK Pervez Khattak to pass a resolution in the assembly for the acquisition of Bala Hisar Fort. What it means is that people of KPK could soon visit the historic fort and enjoy a great view.

The resolution is a follow up on PTI’s earlier promise in which the party had intended to take the fort from Frontier Corps and make it a tourism point. It was a long standing dream of the people of KPK to visit Bala Hisar Fort without any barriers. Also, KPK government intends to earn valuable revenue from the fort.

On the other hand, CM Pervez Khattak has ordered that no one should be given any kind of protocol. He further said that even he should not be given any protocol.
