Written by Agency Wednesday, 13 April 2011 00:39 Amritsar: Farooq Kayani, brother of Pakistans army chief Gen Ashfaq Kayani, today crossed into India through the land transit route of Attari border leading a delegation of school students. Farooq Kayani is the Principal of a high school in Pakistan and is accompanied by his wife Syeda Kayani and 15 school staff members besides an equal number of students. According to Assistant Customs Commissioner R.K. Duggal, Farooq Kayani and his team would spend the night at Dera Baba Jaimal Singh of Radha Soami sect at Beas and go to Chandigarh tomorrow before travelling to Shimla to take part in a scheduled programme being organsied by the Sanawar School. During his stay in Chandirgarh, he may meet to Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal. Before going to Beas, Farooq visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar.

Kyani's brother is a civilian, he can go anywhere he wants. But from sounds of it he is on a good trip. May be he will be able to create harmony between the two countries.

does it bannes any member of Kayani family not to visit any other country or in particular referance India? he is a civilian Pakistani and a teacher or principal of a school who is leading a deligation and his ultimate aim is to participate a scool function at Simla. what is so drastic about it? if ties between the 2 countries can become more friendly then why objection is to be made? thread starter must avoide such postings and stop indirect propeganda against Pakistan army or its chief.
