True, there is discrimination against Urdu speaking people but MQM can not keep on exploiting it. Do you think it is okay to do wrong because Urdu speaking have nowhere to go and hence they will keep coming back to you? Although, this worked for sometime but not anymore. As we do have an alternative in the form of PTI now. We finally managed to shed our apprehensions, the "what ifs?". The problems you listed are facts and we expect and trust PTI to resolve them. Just do what is "FAIR" for everyone. Just make one law for all. Same opportunities (based on merit) and same accountibility for all and nothing else.

People of Karachi are educated and enlightened - they did not vote for MQM because they wanted an Urdu Speaking Bhutto, Bugti, Khar, Shahi Syed or Sharif to worship. MQM was created for a "reason". You fail the reason, you fail to get support - and that is that.

u r right MQM is FAR from its reason of being and its roots ... only little positives have remained ,and any voilence can't be tolerated
... but even going back to pre 2008 situation will make MQM the best thing for Karachiites .. doesnt look probable though .. and yes PTI was the right choice cuz strengthening MQM in parliament wouldnt make any difference ..
I just hope someday MQM get as clean as possible getting rid of badshah sector in-charge culture and violence ..

wouldnt we all love a clean ,idea based ,organised and democratic MQM ? working as they did before ? living between the people as they did ?

but if MQM goes for short term power and control , they wouldnt last next 1-2 G,elections .
and if they reorganize and get clean they will last forever in the hearts of people ..
its basic short term vs long term tread off here :D

and the JAHIL in this thread doesnt deserve any attention of a sane mind
