Wasif - MQM was created in reaction to intimidation of waderas and shahi syed's drug mafia but then it became what is set out to condemn - If these waderas and drug mafia did what they did, didn't MQM started doing the same? Extortion? Intimidation? Violence? It was like, if you can't beat them, join them. That is why it started losing support because this is not what Urdu speaking people are all about. We were known for our education and enlightenment - we were never uncivilized and wild. This tribal culture not ours! As a matter of fact, it was our education that made Pakistan a possibility in the first place as mostly the Urdu speaking were spear heading the Pakistan Independence movement - a fact the "self-proclaimed heirs" of Pakistan have convenietely forgotton. I see their blatant discrimination, and it makes me wonder....if Jinnah was alive today, would they "accuse" him of being a mohajir too?

I tried to make the same point .... the discrimination agaisnt Urdu speakers is basic foundation and reason of mandate for MQM .... everyone says MQM must end but no one steps up to offer to represent urdu speakers ... no one speaks for discriminations ...
they gave you a SEPARATE domicile they dont consider you a part of sindh , and admissions and jobs are classified as karachi or sindh domicile ... these things would have continued and worsen if MQM didnt have seats in the House ..there are still many Zulfiqar mirzas who are waiting for their chance to CLAIM Karachi back from Urdu speakers

but now that MQM is involved in extortion and stuff ,Urdu speakers have no other option and idiots like above think Urdu speakers support violence and extortion

!! PTI had a chance but they took a line which majority of Karachiets don;t like i.e taliban apologies ,and they didn;t even campaigned in Khi . and not direct confrontation with MQM for whom everyone has a soft corner if not full support ..

Lets talk about facts, what did he do for mohajirs so far? He handed guns to youngsters, he destroyed their lives, pushing them to fight with Sindhis, balochis, Pathans and even their own kind (MQM haqeeqi), merely for Power and Position? He gave nothing but inferiority complex to Urdu speaking people and brain washed them to get his selfish ambitions. He took a lot out of you.. Property in UK, apartments, Casinos.. Wake up man..

Now lets talk what Sindhis paid.. I've seen myself illiterate guys are working on 18 grade in civic center, and they don't even know how to draft an official letter, they have J.M & Pan in their mouth, and they speak unethical language..
No sindhi can get admission in a reputed university in Karachi, then why they claim that only mohajirs are deprived with basic rights?

Governor Ishrat ul Ibad ruined Sindh's education, he posted his favourite vice chancellors in many universities in Sindh, he extended thrice their tenures who were retired. Even in Karachi in many colleges bhai log have political hold and they do what they want.. You forgot Jinnahpur & mohajir soba? do u think he is doing it for mohajir people's prosperity? Hell no.. He's on CIA payroll buddy.. search youtube, the confession of Ajmal Pahari whatever his name, he confessed he was sent to India and trained from any Major Ravi.. those who never accepted Pakistan.

Sindhis don't want discrimination with you, it's within you.. you guys started it & everybody followed the same thing..In 2008 Altaf Hussain said, Pathan (ANP) are Taaliban, we won't let them take over Karachi, and few days back the same ANP leadership went to Nine Zero and they all sat together against Taliban.. who's being fooled? first of all you go back before mqm became powerfull .. situation for urdu speakers was much worse ..govt jobs ,education was made almost impossible by imposing sindhi bureaucrats in urdu areas ... there is a SEPARATE domicile for Karachi born people .which was used to restrict number of admissions and govt recruitment...
no body told us these things our elders have FACED them ...
ever since MQM is strong it has improved for udru speakers .. and we don;t want any discrimination and ethnicity we didnt call ourselves mahajir .. the tittle was officialy given to us in 1981 census ?? I mean a new generation of urdu speakers were CALLED muhajir by the GOVT officially !!

and there are still many nationalists sindhis who believe we are not part of the sindh and should live like their slaves who let us live here, Mirza was a prime example ...

ANP themselves have acknowledged they used taliban muscle to settle in karachi now taliban are after them .. and AH was shouting about talibanization in khi from a long time no one did anything ...

True, there is discrimination against Urdu speaking people but MQM can not keep on exploiting it. Do you think it is okay to do wrong because Urdu speaking have nowhere to go and hence they will keep coming back to you? Although, this worked for sometime but not anymore. As we do have an alternative in the form of PTI now. We finally managed to shed our apprehensions, the "what ifs?". The problems you listed are facts and we expect and trust PTI to resolve them. Just do what is "FAIR" for everyone. Just make one law for all. Same opportunities (based on merit) and same accountibility for all and nothing else.

People of Karachi are educated and enlightened - they did not vote for MQM because they wanted an Urdu Speaking Bhutto, Bugti, Khar, Shahi Syed or Sharif to worship. MQM was created for a "reason". You fail the reason, you fail to get support - and that is that.
