Well if you watch the full documentary about Duke of Edinburgh you will find out many aspects about his personality.
i just watch this documentary couple of days back and i am amazed to see how down to earth person he is. Wish if our leaders had half the traits of this person.

Regarding if he is worshiped as a god ....that is stupidity of the worshipers.
