Last Jewish immigration camps closed in 1960s. All Jewish immigrants were absorbed in Jewish state of Israel by then. Palestinians however were not absorbed anywhere. Not even in Gaza, West Bank that is controlled by Palestinian authority.
They don't want to be absorbed they want to go back to their homes. Why doesn't Israel give them Israeli citizenship and let them return to their homes?
It doesn’t work that way. If Jewish immigrants also started living in refugee camps permanently, waiting to return back to Muslim / Arab countries from where they once came from, state of Israel would have collapsed by now.
It has already given Israeli citizenship to Jewish immigrants. If Israeli Jews started making Palestinian refugees citizens of Israel, they would become minority in their own country. Hence no longer a Jewish state
