i hate all poets who made me rattafy the stupid writings in my exams when i had no interest in poetry... all my tudent life my numbers were low because of these poets and afsana nigaars.... or atleast may be the way we were taught urdu... . just rattafy the ashaaar....
is shayer mein shaayer kehta hai ke uskee bivi us per thook ker haag gayee hai and usko khwaab mein uska bacha nazar aaraha hai and ye and wo....

i once remember in inter i juts rattafied one essay on some stupid afsana nigaar and i planned to jsut write that without caring who im writing abt.. i did pass it with around 55/100 :)

You might find it strange and amazing that about 75% of Allama Iqbal's total work is in Persian language not Urdu, that's what I read somewhere. So he must have spread more pearls and wisdom in his Farsi shayari than what we have got in Indo-Pak Subcontinent. That's the reason why he's considered a prominent name in Iran and perhaps Persian speaking regions of Afghanistan too.

I guess he got a knowledge about Persian literature and history too ,that's why he talked about Persian influence on Islamic tenets as well.

Shakhsi kumzoriyan her insan mein hoti hai. I agree key Allama Iqbal bhi koi farishta na thay, woh bhi aik insan thay. Magar un per keechad uchalne se pehle unke kaamoun aur Muslims may nayee Rooh phoonkne wali unki writings per tawajju du. Sir ke title ki waja se aap Iqbal aur Sir Syed ko ulta seedha bolrahe ho tau bhaee Issac Newton ko bhi Sir ka title mila tha. So does it mean that his Three Laws of Motion are pure BS? Kya ab Issac Newton ki theories study karnewale bhi Angrezoun ka phittu ya Eeman se khali thehra?

Sir Syed Ahmed Khan Britishers ke obedient employee rahe lekin kya woh aik wahid Muslim thay jinhun ne British offices may kaam kiya? Agar woh 1857 may hathyar utha lete tau kya woh akelay tareeq badal dalte? Infact, her tarah ki scientific knowledge se dur aur Mullahoun aur Piroun ke haathoun hijack, inactive aur brainwash hochuki Muslim population ko unhoon ne badalte time ke taqazay sikhaye.

Baqi jo jo behuda ilzam aap ne lagaye zara unka koi proof ?

If you thoroughly go through the works of Allama Mohammad Iqbal then you can witness a unique evolution, which I guess is not present in other poets that we have come across. Perhaps he was a lifelong learner and experienced different phases in his thinking. You can notice nationalism/patriotism, Sufism (Islamic mysticism), Socialism/ Communism, Islamism, Pan-Islamism, strict adherence to monotheism, Quranism and Islamic modernism throughout his works. With such a diversity of ideas one can differ with him too but does it mean that one can label him with titles of an extremist, bigot or anything like that?

Iqbal was not a saint or angel but a human being, I agree. But abusing his legacy has become the latest trend amongst our pseudo liberal lot.
