The majority of voter in that constituency is Pathan and Khan gave ticket to Afridi Pathan. No choice can be batter than that. It is not true that PTI ticket was awarded to wrong person. There is no urdu speaker voter here and PML(N) awarded ticket to a urdu speaker. In fact PML(N) gave ticket to wrong person.

Previous candidates including Shahbaz Sharif were Punjabis. This constituency has Pathan and Punjabis in majority therefore PML(N) were successful in past.
The point is performance here and no party can survived without performing. You cannot hide your performance by saying that they were corrupt and we are honest. People vote based on what they see. They have seen that inflation and joblessness is much higher in so called honest's era. They don't believe that previous government was corrupt as they were getting way more relief then.

Voters in Karachi mostly vote on language basis. Urdu speakers vote to MQM, Sindhi votes to PPP and Pathan to ANP. Things have changed since last elections as urdu speakers have voted to PTI. I am not asking for votes based on language but telling you reality.

How come Karachi vote based on language suits PML(N)? It suits to MQM, PPP and ANP. PML(N) have vote bank only in one or two constituencies. PTI won several seats in Karachi but current NA149 election results have shown that n support for PTI left in Karachi. It is so steep downfall that a party on number 1 position went to number 5.
