Dear Ms. Zahara,

I am writing to you with regards to your statement that you have seen a BBC documentary where Mrs. Indra Gandhi's secretary said " following fall of Dhakka Mrs. Gandhi ran down like a school girl" and said that " we have revenged one thousand year old Muslim rule ". Mr. Pirzada made a comment in your support and said " this (meaning statement) is on record". You can read rest of the email for better understanding for the subject.

You are the only one who mentioned a credible and tangible news source to back up your statement. I will need your help in finding this documentary to verify your statement. I have been it touch with the BBC and I will require; name of the BBC documentary, name of the station that broadcasted it and date of broadcast if possible all three but the name is extremely important. I have heard this statement form Pakistani people I communicate with from your politicians as well.

Ms. Zahara, you have accused state of India of engaging in civilizational warfare with Pakistan, if true than you have a very good reason not to trust India as I will do the same. However, if your statement, on the program is not true, than I will consider this at lest one " invented lie " for not trusting India.

Do you know when digital era starts? Digital newspapers came even late.

If our journalists are quoting it --- then they probably have read it somewhere in some newspaper --- We can't show you proof so easily, and an effort from forum members doesn't worth it --- but at any given day --- we trust our journalists who have good repute like naseem zahra than any Indian counterpart.

Why the hell Indian went into East Pakistan? For sake of humanity? Who gave training to Mukti Bahin? Who provided them Arms ? Apart from 1000 years rule by Muslims --- India also want to avenge 1965 defeat as well.

The truth is Indian establishments and politicians ---- never accepted Pakistan wholeheartedly till today.

Reason ? I don't think Indra Ghandi was Lame enough to say such a thing on Media . She was a PM after all . For Example , I read Yahya and Bhutto's statements in Roedad Khan's book . He was the eye witness than , Yahya said : I wont endanger West Pakistan for the sake of Bengalis . Even Bhutto passed ouit gruesome statements , but in Private conversation , not on media .


And now when I google or Bing it , I get siasat.pk's result . Old Data has not been much digitalized . I think it would be in some memoir , or book . ;):):P;):P:);):P:);):P:)(serious)

Nasim Zehra didn't say Indira Gandhi said that.
What she claimed is that in one of the BBC documentaries her secretary mentioned Indira Gandhi said such and such.

I watched the episode posted in separate thread and did bit of search with indira gandhi and 1000 years revenge and it did come up with some results but interesting thing is that Naseem Zehra has mentioned the date i.e. BBC program on India and Pakistan's 50th Anniversary so the program should be in BBC archives and if you ask them for 14-15th August 1997 then they should be able to help.
