LAHORE - Despite the fact that it has decided to support the JUI-F secretary general as leader of the opposition in the Senate, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement on Saturday expressed conditional willingness to join hands with the PML-N to form an alliance.

MQM chief Altaf Hussain told TheNation by phone from London that if the PML-N gets the JUI-F’s leader removed as opposition leader through the Supreme Court, the MQM would extend support to PML-N’s Ishaq Dar.

He said he had received countless phone calls, fax messages and emails that the MQM should rejoin the PPP-led coalition and allow Dr Ishratul Ebad to resume as Sindh governor. But, he said, “I am facing a very difficult situation. I don’t know what to do”. Altaf said he did not know how he would face the nation by reversing the party’s earlier decision of parting ways with the government and playing the role of an opposition party.

He made it clear that if he ever permitted Dr Ebad to return to Sindh Governor House, he would set tough conditions for it. About the possibility of cooperation with the PML-N, he said now the latter would “have to come to us” as they were the ones who had pelted the MQM with ‘stones’, a euphemism for harsh criticism.
He said he always took decisions in consultation with party leaders and was willing to forge an alliance with the PML-N. “But progress on this front depends on the PML-N’s approach”. He said the PML-N’s future course of action would reflect whether the leadership had learnt any lessons from the past mistakes. “I seriously believe that by sincerely working together we can do a lot (of good work)”.

Answering a question about the MQM’s support for JUI-F’s Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidri for the post of opposition leader in the Senate, Altaf said when the decision on the subject was taken, there were no contacts between the MQM and the PML-N.

My humble request to all the brothers,

Please look at the evidence, read in to what is not said overtly. He knows what to do, he is making people fools as always. They want to rejoin the Government, but problem is this time around they have kicked so much fuss, over 100 people dead in days of violence, now it is not that easy to go back, without suffering damage to the reputation. Therefore, he is trying to prepare the ground for re-joining the Government by saying "I have received countless phone calls, fax messages and e-mails to re-join.

This time it would be on " voters insistence" MQM re-joined the Government.[hilar][hilar][hilar]

As for consequences of re-joining again after kicking so much fuss and getting so many people killed, that is no water off their backs. Whenever they worried about voters anger or backlash, or things like they will loose support of the voters?

Their vote bank is solid, it is build on time and tested principles of "Democracy". Like barrels of the Guns, fake listings, fake votes, by appointing their own returning officers in their areas who allow each woman to cast 100+ votes for all the fake registrations and for those who have not turned up. You should put some hidden cameras in the polling stations in Karachi and see how frantic it is before the polls closes. How all the votes which are not cast during the day, are cast so rapidly that it would be a world record if the details are made public.

How else the huge majorities of 200K+ are achieved by MQM candidates?

This is the advantage of having your own party members inside the polling stations, looking at the listings and then ticking them quickly while issuing whole bunch of votes to their waiting ladies or gents who are kept there for the sole purpose.

Question is how many hands these supporters have for markings?

Democracy is ""best revenge".

Secondly, I have told you guys, MQM wants back, I can tell you what would be their first condition of re-joining. it would be removal of "Commissioner" system of Government in Sind.
I know MQM supporters would be out in numbers denying it, but it is a hard fact, they can not live without the money which is useful for their own expenses. I challenged MQM to let the independent audit of the local government funds during their period of governance. If they do, the reality would be out.

MQM wants in, with every government, with every party, with army, with even Satan himself as long as they are given the control of Karachi. This is the game, for this game thousands of people of Karachi had been sacrificed. After all Karachi is the chicken which lay "Golden Eggs".

Correction, in my above statement, I shouldn't have written "with even Satan himself". He is always with them, I mean he is their head.[hilar]

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has welcomed Dr Ishratul Ebad’s decision to return as Governor of Sindh.

In a statement issued today, President Zardari said that Ebad’s return to office was a good omen for ongoing reconciliation process in the country.

MQM leader Faisal Sabzwari confirmed to SAMAA that Altaf Hussain directed Dr. Ishratul Ebad to return to Karachi and assume his charge as Sindh Governor with immediate effect.

He, however, said that his party would not compromise on revival of magistrate system in the province.

On June 27, Governor Ebad submitted his resignation, which was never accepted by President Zardari.

Reacting to Ebad’s return, PML-N Information Secretary Ahsan Iqbal advised to sit on treasury benches. He urged PPP, MQM and ANP to restore peace in Karachi, where innocent lives were lost in violent attacks. SAMAA
