Public funded universities HAVE billions in funding. Most of that money is wasted You have to accept the fact that there is a lack of discipline in our civil society. This is a society where doctors dont have an issue with going on strike while patients like the emergency halls with emergencies. Teachers dont have an issue going on strike while students fall behind in their course. Transport staff dont have an issue going on strike while people gather in the thousands at bus stops etc.

We are an ill-disciplined society, and in general, we are jealous of things like NUST, DHA, etc, since we can replicate those. This is why its important for institutions to be made independent. But sadly, whenever there is an effort to do that, political parties are the first to complain.
