KARACHI: An ordinance promulgated to restore Local Government System in Karachi and Hyderabad has been issued here Sunday (1:00am) Geo News reported. Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan has signed the ordinance into law.

The ordinance was issued after the PPP and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) agreed on a joint formula to restore local government system 2001 in Karachi and Hyderabad.

The ordinance was issued after meeting of Sindh Governor Dr. Ishratul Ebad Khan, Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, PPP leader Babar Awan, Agha Siraj and Sindh Revenue Minister Jam Mehtab Dahar. Chief Secretary Sindh, Sindh Law Minister and Commissioner Karachi participated in the meeting.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Saturday telephoned Pir Sahib of Pagara, President of PML (Functional) and spiritual leader of Hurrs, and apprised him about the ongoing negotiations between the government and the Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM).

The Prime Minister told Pir Pagara that the government would pursue the policy of reconciliation with all political groups in the country to avert any damage to democracy.

He said the MQM had been the governments ally and supported it in the past during several important phases especially the passage of 18th Amendment.

Gilani mentioned yesterdays meeting of President Asif Ali Zardari with Governor Sindh Ishratul Ibad Khan and hoped that it would help clear the air towards normalization of matters.

Pir Pagara expressed the confidence that the ongoing negotiations between the government and the MQM would help resolve several issues, including the restoration of law and order situation in Karachi.

The importance of Commissionerate System for an improved good governance also came under discussion.

Its a rollback to the time when MQM went into opposition, on the 2 seats of Azad Kashmir. MQM has been able to achieve the win on those 2 seats, and have gotten the LG act 2001and status of Hyderabad restored. But I doubt jamhuri thugs will ever let them have local bodies elections thru which MQM can do some work, these jamhuri bas*ards are scared of any governance and election where they don't win, so its just going back to the previous status when MQM left coalition. Breakthrough for MQM would be to convince Peoples Party to have local body elections, which even Khadim-e-Aala[incl. the rest of the jamhuri thugs] have refrained from.
The losers in this deal are the ANP terrorists who Zardari used to counter MQM and these monsters'[including Peoples Partys' PP Aman Committee] murdered 150+ people in Karachi. The ANP fools have been left in the lurch due to this deal, and will have to face the music alone, so unfortunately target killing will go on, and people will die. The only thing that could stop these deaths is army rule and all these jamhuri har**mkhors sent to their respective sasural, Central jail.

First they undo the LG system in a haste and now they have restored it in a haste.
MQM quits the government in a haste and then joins it in a haste.
Dont you see it is just a game they play, a kind of a test match where they keep score of how many innocent
people get killed in this innings and how many buses, cars and motor cycles got burned.
I am afraid this test match is for five years, two more years to go still. These killings will go on and at the end of the match, we will call it a draw and start a new test match with a different team.
Just look at these three haramkhores in the picture. Do you see any shame or sorrow on their faces? I guess not.
Things will stay the same if you don't change your thinking. If nothing changes, nothing changes.
