Bhutto was only the FM and if Yahya wanted he could have sacked Bhutto straightaway. Also UN resolution has got nothing to do with fall of Dhaka. Damage was done way before that.

Your logic still begs the question that did Bhutto do his job? Yahya could have sacked him but what about Bhutto's attitude?
Sacking Bhutto would only have made him not be responsible in history for the grave injury he has caused our nation. Moreover in those days, there was only landline phone and a few flights to US.

An excellent initiative by the current government to have these kinds of Think Tank conferences and learn from the perspective of experts in their field!!!
