The biggest disaster of 1992 operation was escape of Altaf Hussain on January 01, 1992. Knowing that operation was imminent Altaf Hussain was tipped off by then chief minister Sindh (Jam Sadiq Ali). It would have been better to have him hanged, instead of hunting down his third rated "stray rats" in the streets of Karachi.

Naseer Ullah Baber's operation was the best police action ever done against an organized militancy. He was about to annihilate this monster called MQM, but alas ! Farooq Leghari came to their rescue at the eleventh hour. To MQM, the real bogeyman is General Babar --- not Nawaz Sharif. Inwardly they know the extent of damage done by General Sahib but for political reasons they are bound to punch Nawaz Sharif for his alleged role in the previous operation. What an irony !!!

Han aisai dekha jai to kaash tumharai ilaqai kai logon ko bhi chun chun kar mara jai pehlai... phir bol diya jai kai yeh daku thai.. aur kash un main sai aik tumhara bhai bhi ho.. phir SHAYAD tumhain andaza hoga kai jab innocent marta hai to kitni takleef hoti hai..

Please read the history once again. People from MQM were killed for no reason. So if you find me as a heartless person because I have written that your brother should also have been killed, then please go through your post again and you will PROBABLY find the answer.

Ajeeb log ho yaar tumlog.. Itna double standard. Aik aam admi marai to tumhain dukh hai.. drone attack hota hai to tumhain dukh hota hai.. aur yahan tum khud invite kar rahai ho kai aik operation ho. History is witness to the fact that if there ever has been an operation, thousands of innocents have lost their lives. What do you want? To kill more innocents?

Agreed, but as we all know that everyone blames the first person who start all the chaos. Baber was ordered by Benazir in '96. Nawaz started the operation in '92. He was the real Monster. If he would have taken political steps rather than following the barbarism route, things would have been much more different.
